Mission accomplished outside the RGS
(London, UK)

Hi All,

Boris, Kiwi Ted and I arrived back at the gates of the Royal Geographical Society in London on Saturday 1st February 2014 at midday. The fifth leg of the journey was short and sweet (The blog for it will be out shortly). It wasn’t without its own drama but ultimately it was fairly straightforward.

The welcome home was fantastic as London turned on a beautiful day for our return. It was great to see many friends that I’d not seen for nearly a year. Saturday night’s celebrations were a perfect end to the journey.

The Great Game Expedition is now complete. It’s a massive achievement and I’m stoked to have finally completed it. I’m now ready for a rest from driving and travelling. Approximately 24,000 miles and 9.5 months away will do that to you.

I will do the round of thanks properly in due course. However I would like to make a special mention and say a huge thanks to my expedition team of Nathan, Pete, Joby, Mark and Tom. I couldn’t have done it without you guys.

And finally, thanks to Boris and Kiwi Ted for keeping it interesting along the way.

Jon, Boris and Kiwi Ted

  1. Welcome home buddy, What’s the plans for Boris now and what’s your next adventure 😉

  2. At least you had the decency to take a kiwi away with you to appear in your photos rather than that other monstros women’s device you used to sneak in to photos. Congrats on the trip

  3. Congratulations for completing your journey!

That was not too easy – i wish you more luck for the next trip!

Thats is, what we call an adventure!
