Forest Retreat Cafe
(Luang Namtha, Laos)

Hi Everybody,

I know I’ve been quiet, so I just wanted to pass on a short message.

I crossed over the border from China to Laos 7 days ago. I’ve been resting and recuperating in Luang Namtha ever since. It’s a fantastically laid back place. A large portion of my time has been spent at a great cafe called the Forest Retreat. It just happens to be run by a couple of laided back Kiwi’s. Their amazing western menu and great hospitality have been instrumental in bringing me back to life, after what was an exhausting, and rather stressful 35 days in China.

Don’t fret as you won’t have to wait long for the next update. The first of a three-part blog on China is due out on Thursday. It will have all the details of what I now referring to as, my worst travel experience ever!!

Take care for now.

Jon

As long as you’re alive! Intrigued and a bit scared to know what went down in China. Recharge your batteries & looking forward to your next post. The Viners xx
