I'm off

Hello Everybody,

The time has finally come. I’m departing for Central Asia on my 9 month odyssey on Saturday 13th April 2013 at 11am.

Boris has past his final checks. The lads at Overland Cruisers have worked overtime to get him ready after last weeks problems. I’m packing my stuff and finalising my paperwork. Vaccinations, check. Insurance, check. Visas, check. Equipment, check. Vehicle, check. Crazy nutter semi-prepared, check.

I’ve felt the urge to share a song that sums up how I feel right now on the verge of this great expedition. Everybody should know the words, so sing along.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Its The Big O Show!

Its time to play the music
Its time to light the lights
Its time to meet the muppet on the Big O Show tonight

Its time put on makeup
Its time to dress up right
Its time to raise the curtain on the Big O Show tonight

Why do we always come here?
I guess we’ll never know
Its like a kind of torture
To have to watch the show

But now its getting started
Why don’t you get things started?
Its time to get things started
On the most sensantional
Inspirational
Celebrational
Muppet-ational
This is what we call The Big O Show!

  4. Safe travels, looking forward to following along.

(And on a side note, just as I was getting to your sing along, the actual music to the Muppet Show started playing on the TV upstairs, my daughter is watching the movie. Perfect timing.)
